Basically though: this reminds me of Tseng and Legend.
(Arthur was Arthur, related to Tseng, but Eames was in fact the Legendary Turk. I have my reasons. Quite a few actually, some canon compliant too)
Also I’m gonna add in here, as it’s relevant, but I find it strange sometimes when people think of Veld being Tseng’s only mentor. He trained with Legend. Sure he didn’t want to but he DID.
Reeve was Ariadne’s dad. Yeah, you read that right. It makes complete sense to me.
